How Much Does TV Mounting Cost in Kansas City? A Guide for Mission Hills, Parkville & Leawood Homes

Professional TV mounting with Will Will Do It starts at $150. The final price depends on your TV, the mount, the type of wall, and whether you want the wires hidden. Many of our projects in Mission Hills, Parkville and Leawood involve TVs over stone fireplaces, in-wall wiring, and full home theater setups.
Here is what affects the price.
What Affects the Price
TV Size
A 55" TV is a straightforward install. An 85" TV is heavier, needs a stronger mount, and usually requires two people to lift and level safely.
Type of Mount
There are three main options. A fixed mount keeps the TV flat against the wall. A tilting mount angles the screen down, which helps when the TV is mounted higher. A full-motion mount lets you pull the TV out and turn it, which works well for corners and open living spaces, and it takes the most time to install.
If you already have a mount, we can install it. If not, we can help you choose one that fits your TV and your wall.
Wall Type
Drywall is the simplest surface to work with. Brick, stone and plaster, which are common in many established Kansas City homes, require different drill bits and anchors and take more time to install correctly.
Mounting Above a Fireplace
Fireplace installs are among our most requested projects. Before mounting, we look at viewing height, how warm the wall gets, how to anchor safely into the stone or brick, and how to route the wires so they are not visible on the face of the fireplace.
Wire Concealment
The more affordable option is an external cord cover, a slim channel on the wall that can be painted to match. The option we recommend most is running the wires inside the wall and adding an outlet behind the TV, so no cords are visible.
Additional Services
Soundbar mounting, removing an existing mount, and mounting more than one TV in the same visit are added to the total.
Home Theater Installation
Will also installs complete home theater systems, including hidden speakers and wiring routed out of sight. Because every room is different, these projects are quoted individually. Share a few details about your space and we will put together a plan with you.
Doing It Yourself vs. Hiring a Professional
Mounting a TV yourself is possible with a stud finder, a level, the correct bits and anchors, and someone to help lift. Issues usually come from a mount that is not anchored properly, holes placed in the wrong spot, or damage to a stone or brick fireplace.
For masonry walls, fireplaces and in-wall wiring, hiring a professional is usually the safer choice.
